2016年3月、日本赤十字社（日赤）は「原子力災害における救護活動ガイドライン」の改訂および「原子力災害における救護活動マニュアル」の修正を行いました。ガイドラインおよびマニュアルの作成は、2011年3月に発生した東日本大震災に伴う福島第一原子力発電所事故における活動の経験と反省を踏まえ、将来、同様の災害が発生した場合に日赤として迅速かつ適切な人道支援活動が実施できることを目的として進めてきた、原子力災害対応への取り組みの一環です。
In March 2016, the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) revised the "Nuclear Disaster Guidelines for Preparedness, Response and Recovery" and corrected the "Manual for Relief Activities under Nuclear Disasters." The guidelines and manual were developed based on the experience and reflections of the JRCS's response to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident that followed the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami in March 2011. The developments were part of the JRCS's efforts for nuclear disaster preparedness made for the purpose of providing quick and appropriate humanitarian assistance activities in the event of a similar nuclear disaster.
