福島県主催の「ふくしま復興を考える県民シンポジウム2015」には、日本赤十字社も共催として参加しました。このシンポジウムにおいて、国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟の原子力災害対策上級担当官であるMartin Krottmayer氏が、チェルノブイリ原発事故の経験などを踏まえて、地域社会の人々が主体となって復興を目指していくことの大切さや、国際的に連携して原子力災害への備えを進める必要性を訴えました。

English Description
Residents Symposium for Fukushima Reconstruction 2015 was hosted by Fukushima Prefecture and co-hosted by the JRCS. At the symposium, Martin Krottmayer, Senior Officer, Nuclear and Radiological Accidents Preparedness Programme Services Division, IFRC, gave a speech based on the IFRC's experience during the Chernobyl nuclear accident. He emphasized about the importance of revitalization led by communities and the necessity of preparing for nuclear disasters through international cooperation.
