From January 25, 2016 to February 26, 2016, Ms. Sachiko Wada was involved in the health consultation program.
On one visit, she met a man. At first, he did not respond to Ms. Wada and he seemed reluctant to accept her presence. However, she continued to talk to him until he finally responded. He began telling her that he was physically and mentally exhausted from frequent doctor visits and that his sleepless nights troubled him. He also stated that he wanted to return to Namie, but thought it might be impossible. Ms. Wada looks back on the visit and says: “At first, he would not accept me. However, as I listened to him attentively, he began to open his mind and his dubious look finally changed to a smiling one. It was a very wonderful encounter.”
