日本赤十字社は、東日本大震災発生以降、救護活動をはじめとした様々な支援活動を被災地において展開した。
福島県では福島第一原子力発電所事故に伴う原子力災害が発生し、日赤の活動においてもこれまでにない経験であり、できる限りの活動を行ったものの、その活動に制約が生じたことは課題であると考えている。
今回の災害対応の経験を今後に生かしていくために、日赤では、救護活動に従事した職員に対して聞き取り調査を実施し、当時の医療救護活動に関する記録として整備するとともに、課題・問題点を整理した。
The Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) provided various supports including medical relief in the affected areas after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami occurred.
In Fukushima, the nuclear disaster caused by the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. We conducted relief activities as much as possible. However, the JRCS had never experienced a response to a nuclear disaster and there were constraints in our relief activities in Fukushima. We think that we should review our experience and work on issues that we faced.
To make use of the experience in the future, we conducted an interview survey with the JRCS relief personnel involved in the relief activities in Fukushima to record their activities and put together the issues that they faced.
