The municipal government of Shinchi built public housing for the elderly to live permanently who lost their homes by the Tsunami. The project was supported by the JRCS.
The video introduces a story about a woman who started living in the public house. She lost everything by the tsunami and fled to an evacuation center. Then she was relocated to a temporary housing, but there was no prospect for her housing in the future. Now, she lives in public housing for the elderly. Her friends often visit her and they have meals and tea together. She lives a happy life now.
The project was funded by international donations from the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and others around the world.
