日本赤十字社は福島県浪江町からの依頼を受け、2012年10月15日より「いわき市内に避難している浪江町民の健康調査」を開始した。2013年9月までの1年間の予定で、約2,000名の住民を対象に個別訪問での聞き取り調査を行い、調査結果は健康に関するニーズを整理し、浪江町に提供する。
同日には開所式が行われ、第1班として北見赤十字病院から派遣された看護師に血圧計や聴診器などが常備された携行バックが手渡された。
At the request of the Municipality of Namie, the Japanese Red Cross Society began to conduct “Health Consultation Program for People Evacuated from Namie to Iwaki” on Oct. 15, 2012. In this year-long program through Sept. 2013, the JRCS will make a door-to-door visit to about 2,000 people from Namie and interview with them. The results will be summarized focused on those people's health needs and be provided to the Namie municipality.
An opening ceremony of the office took place on that day. A nurse from the Japanese Red Cross Kitami Hospital, a member of the 1st team, received a set of apparatus monometer and stethoscope in a bag.
