The Japanese Red Cross Society began the health consultation program for about 2,000 people evacuated from Namie to Iwaki by making door-to-door visits by JRCS nurses.
Prof. Minako Morita of the Japanese Red Cross College of Nursing who participated in this program looks further into the future and says, "Based on the needs revealed by this program, the JRCS and the local government have to collaborate with each other to find out what they can do for the Namie people within their areas." Yuki Yatomi, a nurse from the Japanese Red Cross Kitami Hospital, always tried to stand by the people from Namie and listened seriously to what they said to him.
