2013年8月4日から17日の間、徳島赤十字病院の鈴江知子看護師と高山赤十字病院の中安規絵看護師が活動した。活動期間中にいわき市で開催された七夕祭りでは、浪江町民の有志による名物グルメ「浪江焼きそば」の屋台に、両名がお手伝いとして参加した。
こうした交流活動は町民と地域とのつながりを強めるとともに、高齢者にとっての癒しの場にもなっている。

Tanabata festival strengthens a tie with people in Iwaki -JRCS health consultation program for people evacuated from Namie to Iwaki-
English Description
From Aug. 4 to Aug. 17, 2013, two nurses conducted the health consultation program: Tomoko Suzue from the Tokushima Red Cross Hospital and Norie Nakayasu from the Japanese Red Cross Takayama Hospital. During their round of the program, a tanabata festival or a traditional star festival was held in Iwaki. At a stall where some volunteers of the Namie people cooked a “Namie fried noodle”, a specialty of Namie, both nurses helped cooking.
Events like this festival help strengthen a tie between people from Namie and people of Iwaki and also help the elderly survivors relax.
