日赤の救護所における医療救護、避難所でのこころのケアなどの緊急時の医療支援は、被災者の健康リスクの軽減に貢献しています。寄せられた義援金のうち、650億円（約8億ドル）が、被災した12の道・県に4月29日に配分されました。また、仮設住宅などに入居する避難住民のための、生活家電セットの配布も始まりました。
This report explains the assistance that the JRCS provided for the survivors from April 13, 2011 to May 2, 2011. Medical relief activities at the JRCS first aid stations, psychosocial care services at the evacuation centers and other emergency medical assistance have contributed to reducing health risks facing the survivors. Of the donations given to the JRCS, 65 billion yen (about 800 million dollars) were provided to the affected 12 prefectures on April 29, 2011. For the evacuees who were living in temporary housing, household appliances sets started to be provided.
