日赤福島県支部では、これまでも「国際理解・親善」を深めるため県内の青少年赤十字（JRC）加盟校のメンバーを海外の赤十字加盟国へ派遣してきました。震災で一時中断していましたが、震災後2013年に再開し、JRC加盟校の他に被災高校の生徒からも参加を募り、海外の青少年との交流を図っています。2014年にフィリピンを訪問した生徒たちは、貧困地区やゴミのリサイクル施設を訪問しました。

English Description
Even before the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami occurred, the Fukushima Chapter had sent students from the Junior Red Cross (JRC) member schools of Fukushima Prefecture to a National Society abroad to promote international understanding and friendship. After the earthquake, the program was suspended but reopened in 2013. The chapter has invited students from not only the JRC member schools but also non-JRC member schools to promote interaction with youth overseas. The students who travelled to the Philippines in 2014 visited a poverty area and a trash recycle workshop.
