The Materials of the presentation material entitled “Radiation Medicine in Japan” by Dr. Akashi, Executive Director of National Institute of Radiological Sciences, given at in the First Red Cross Nuclear Disaster Seminar held at the Japanese Red Cross Society National Headquarters on Dec. 2, 2013. Dr. Akashi provided some basic knowledge of radiation, the radiation emergency medicine system in Japan and how NIRS responded to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident.
