Japan Earthquake Relief Fund: Japan Society
English Description
On March 12, 2011, Japan Society created the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund, a disaster relief fund to aid survivors of the Great East Japan Earthquake that devastated the Tohoku region of Japan. On April 18, 2016, the Society broadened the scope of the fund to include support for the survivors of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, a series of earthquakes with epicenters around Kumamoto that began on April 14.
