HS Testimonial

I’m a student in high school who’s creating a collection of the disaster response of Fukushima. Through my research I discovered that the disaster response has been slow and treacherous. The problem is the protocols were not sufficient to combat the disaster that took place on 3/11. The government and TEPCO seem adamant on keeping the truth hidden from the public leading to fears that are unfounded to be supported when they are confronted by the government. Many are left picking up the pieces that were lost and broken during the Fukushima disaster but they slowly rebuild together. Many have their memories and property returned, lawsuits against TEPCO and finally confrontation with the reality that TEPCO was ill prepared and so was the government to help evacuate people.
