Item Description
I remember when 3/11 happened, I was in my third-grade classroom and my teacher was reading a picture book to the class. The room started shaking violently and we all add to scramble to seek refuge under our wooden desks to avoid the falling books from the shelves. I didn't really recognize what was going on, but looking around and seeing my classmates panicking and crying made me realize something bad was going on.
To be completely honest, I don't really think about or remember my personal experience of 3/11 unless it is the anniversary or close to the time. I think this is because it wasn't a greatly significant event in my life just because I was fortunate enough not to experience the extreme end of the natural disaster. I am aware that many people still are experiencing lasting effects from 3/11 and I hope and pray that with every passing year, things are slowly getting better and better.
