The Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) established the emergency response headquarters led by the JAEA president immediately after the earthquake in northeastern Japan (the Great East Japan Earthquake). The headquarters werecontinuously collecting detailed information on the required equipment and facilities in all the sites of JAEA as well asgiving directions to the sites toward recovery. In addition,JAEA, as a designated public institution is supporting activities of other organizations.
