The Hamakaru Art Project (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's FY2023 Regional Economic Policy Promotion Project (Support Project for Mid-term Artist Residency Production)), which brings together artists from around the country, the world and the local area to 12 cities and towns in Fukushima Prefecture for a residency and production program, hosted a "Fukushima Film School" master class, where directors Yoji Yamada and Isshin Inudo gave lectures in person, as a public program that film fans could participate in. The master class was held on February 13, 2024 at Katsurao Village's "Midori no Sato Seseragi-so". Director Béla Tarr taught the class, and the program was held as an outreach for the film director training program through residency production by seven filmmakers from around the world. This allows a international attention attracted to the art and cultural hub that is created in Fukushima throughout its reputation reconstructing progress.
