In the wake of 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster established Japan’s 2011 disaster headquarters for emergency disaster control to provide earthquake and tsunami information, reports of the research of disaster affected areas, and their data. In addition, in collaboration with disaster-affected local governments and individuals, it created the ALL311 to gather information related the disaster.
