Item Description
June 30, 2011 Dr. Ishii''s quick thinking helped save hundreds of lives in Miyagi. When the disaster hit, Dr. Ishii had no plans, no drills on how to respond to the national disaster. However, with his quick thinking, Dr. Ishii broke his medical team into small groups, created a roster of needs and patients, and took care of those in need of emergency care while moving those not in such need into tents set up in the hospital parking lot.
