May 10, 2011 A reader submitted his or her agreement of Prime Minister Naoto Kan’s suspension of Hamaoka nuclear plant, applauding his leadership to prevent another nuclear accident. He or she was very critical of weekly meetings held by the nuclear regulators regarding the crisis at the Fukushima nuclear plant and stated that meetings showed no solution to the crisis and that the time was misspent.
