[About the Volunteer Center Construction] We purchased 330m2 of land and two buildings to the South of our Tagajo building in February of 2010. The buildings we purchased were a bit old, but we were planning to use it as the educational center for our children’s ministry. Since the earthquake, many churches from all over the country sent us relief supplies and volunteers from all over the world came to help us. In order to accommodate this, we used our current Tagajo building (two floors) on 396m2 of land. However, this was an emergency measure and it took its toll on the daily activities of the church. We then planned to use the newly purchased buildings on the adjacent lot as a volunteer and storage center, but as construction progressed, we found more and more damage from the earthquake, and the building was basically declared unusable by the government. Therefore we stopped renovating the building and in July of this year, had volunteers tear the building down. It is now a barren plot of land.
