NGO Kimse Yok Mu rescue team, which arrived immediately after the disaster, supported the search and rescue of victims. In addition, KYD brought 46 people from Japan to Turkey and 25 of 49 people were stranded in Sendai. The Turks returned to Turkey because of the danger of the nuclear leakage problem and said that they had a very hard time in the early days after the disaster.
