2012年02月07日 宮城県石巻市・渡波（わたのは）地区にて昭和元年より中小船舶の造船業を営んでいる佐藤造船所は大津波で設備機械・資材・船体引き上げレールが流出。復旧、復興が進むにつれて地元の養殖業・沿岸漁業者から依頼が寄せられている。そこで東北共益投資基金は出資、経営支援を行っている。
