Fukushima Daiichi Power Plant Disaster: How many people were affected? 2015 Report [PDF]

The aim of this report is to compile information that will help to understand as fully as possible the impact of the disaster, more specifically, the number of negatively affected individuals in Japan and elsewhere due to the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster. For this report, we define “negatively affected individuals” as those who were exposed to radiation or other stressors as a result of the disaster, and are consequently at potential risk from short-term and long-term consequences of these exposures.
