3/11: Thoughts

Item Description
On the day of 3/11 I was in fourth grade. It was during an advisory when a friend of mine was presenting, and the projector started to shake. I remember not being able to call my own mother and being forced to stay at school. Sitting in the library, I remember watching the news live and videos of the tsunami wrecking neighborhoods in Iwate. I had to stay at school with my older brother and wait for my mom to come and get us. By the end of the day, I was still at school sleeping when my mom had woken me up around 3 am. The drive back home, a regular 30 minutes, lasted 6 hours. That was the longest day of my life.
