World Bank (2012) Lessons from the Great East Japan Earthquake
As a result of a joint research project between the World Bank and the Government of Japan, 32 lessons learned notes have been prepared. The lessons learned are classified into six categories: 1) structural preparedness, non-structural preparedness, 2) emergency response, 3) recovery and reconstruction planning, 4) hazard map/risk information, and decision making, and 5) economic and financial aspects of disaster management.
