The various activities in which the elderly partake to generate income as well as contribute to the community. The Ibasho project provided a safe place for the elderly to contribute to the community resilience building as well as demonstrate their leadership abilities. An example for a former farmer who found Ibasho a place where she could continue to produce her specialty and help strengthen the pillar of community. This is a multigenerational place where the elderly are able to share their experience, wisdom and help the younger generation learn from these life lessons in building community resilience. There were 42,000 visitors to the Ibasho cafe from 2013-2020. Activities till date include: Aug 2014: Ibasho Farm Oct 2014: Monthly Farmer's Market May 2015: Ibasho Restaurant April 2017: The Study room -classes June 2019: Monthly shopping service Activites other than the restaurant ran through the COVID with safety precautions in place
