Tanonteer" is a volunteer group led by artist Tanotaiga who works on debris removal in Ishinomaki and other areas affected by the tsunami.Tanotaiga, who is from Sendai, provides information about the situation in the affected areas to artists and students across Japan through his website. He also calls for participation in volunteer activities. sendai mediatheque has launched a Tanonteer support program, and has also accompanied the volunteers.
