The “101 Voices from Tohoku” Project documents the lives and experiences of people affected by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in their own words. This project, employing a unique interviewing style called kikigaki, was launched in July 2011 jointly by the Tokyo Foundation and the Kyouzon no Mori Network, an NPO dedicated to promoting sustainable lifestyles.

この取り組みは、公益財団法人東京財団とNPO法人共存の森ネットワークの共催で、学生や社会人47人が聞き手となり、2011年7月より約1年かけ、東日本大震災で被災された101人の方々に、震災前の暮らしの様子や今後への思いなどを一対一で聞き、その話し手の言葉で文章にまとめたものです。
